"It's Time" 2/7/2021

This past week we have had some incredible days out on the water! The last couple days have slowed a bit with the high pressure and spring style weather in February. But this next week we have some cloud cover sliding in and another possible storm at the end of the week. We are excited!

Gotta love doubles, we know Hoss does, the smile says it all.

While a lot of anglers preach balanced leech we are starting to fish then less and less. As the bait spreads and the midges become more prevalent it only makes sense to switch it up. These large cutthroat will swim around like a whale eats plankton.

Blake stuck this nice 15 lber with Head Guide Morgan Kane, the smile says it all

Rich Thompson came out to try his hand at Pyramid and was well rewarded with a great day on the water with PPFC Guide and sidekick Hoss

Stalking the shallows, mouth open inhaling midges by the mouthful. Mid afternoon there’s a good hatch of midges pouring off the water. And the fish are eating them! As the numbers have been going up as the fish start pushing into the shallows, so gas the strip bite. And it will only continue to pick up as the season slides closer to spring. Does that mean you’re gonna catch more fish stripping flies? Of course not! Bobber still remains king as your flies are always in the strike zone.

Of course no report would be complete without some fun pics, PFC Guide Jimi “Roper” Damone showing us how to do it.

Christine is all smiles after landing her first PB.

So if you’re watching from afar, wondering when the best time to go fishing is, quit thinking.  Go fishing!  There’s no better time than now to get out and enjoy the outdoors!  Any free time is better spent outside enjoying yourself, than inside wishing you were fishing.  The bite is picking up, the fish are big and we have time to get you out on the water.  Let’s go!!!
